Life with Little Man

Motherhood is nothing if not exhausting.

Between diaper changes, baby playtime, rocking to sleep, and nursing 'round the clock (not to mention the usual housewifely duties), I'm wiped out at the end of the day. Making sure that both my men are happy and healthy is certainly a full-time job. And lately, Little Man has only been willing to play with Daddy (or on his own) for so long before he wants Momma again - after a full day of only Momma! Not being able to put him down can be more than a little frustrating at times.

But then he smiles, and my heart melts into a puddle of MommyLove on the floor. His need for Momma is cured by snuggles, which melt my frustrations away nearly immediately. Once he's consoled, he's content to babble adorably, testing out new sounds he's picked up from our incessant chattering. And I'm content to babble with him, witnessing his exploration of this new world.

Motherhood is nothing if not rewarding.

  1. You said it! It only gets to be more from here...of both of those qualities. ((Hugs)) to ALL of you.
