The Allen Eagle Escadrille is the largest high school marching band in the country - and probably the world, but I haven't been able to find documentation of that fact quite yet. Composed of 730 band kids and 50 Colorguard girls [plus 70 Tallenettes, who march with them at the start of their show], this band blows their competition out of the water - if for no other reason than the amount of sound they produce!

Auntie B & Auntie K are members of the AHS Colorguard, so we see a lot of band shows around here. Tonight, Little Man & Momma went up to the practice field to watch the band run through their show before boarding the buses for an away game. This was Little Man's first experience with the Escadrille, and he loved it! I was a little nervous that the sound level would get to him, but he took it all in, and was fascinated by the moving colors on the field. I'm glad he enjoyed the show; we'll be seeing a lot more of them this football season.
