It was a lovely service. There were tears; there were smiles; there were baby sounds from the Great-Grandchildren. There was the reassurance of salvation through Christ, and stories of him and how wonderful he was. But no matter how lovely the service, it was surreal. I'm not even sure I believe that he's gone. I kept looking over my shoulder, expecting him to pop in any moment, having pulled an elaborate prank on us. No, he's gone, and we're stuck here without him. Goodbye, Grandpa. We loved you dearly, and you are dearly missed.
